DYNAMIC GEOMETRY: Euro-Asian Classic Car Exhibition
方圆之变: 欧亚经典汽车车型分享


"DYNAMIC GEOMETRY" Euro-Asian Classic Car Exhibition is a thematic exhibition curated and executed by the School of Industrial Design at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. It aims to explore the intersection of industrial design and era-specific aesthetics through the display of classic automobiles. The exhibition focuses on iconic car models from Europe and Asia, using dynamic geometry as a visual thread to connect the evolutionary journey of automotive design across different decades.

We were honored to be invited by the curatorial team to take charge of the exhibition's visual design. During the creative process, we conducted in-depth research into the stylistic features of the showcased vehicles and the design language of their respective eras. Through professional photography, we captured the lines, textures, and intricate details of the cars, then applied digital techniques to artistically enhance the images, infusing static visuals with dynamic tension.

Our goal was to recreate the unique atmosphere of the golden age of internal combustion engines—a time when mechanical aesthetics still stirred emotions, and the scent of gasoline and the roar of engines could ignite passion. By blending desaturated tones, film-like grain, and geometric elements, we crafted a visual narrative that merges nostalgic charm with contemporary aesthetics. This approach allows visitors to not only appreciate the timeless allure of classic cars but also reflect on the innovation and legacy of industrial design as it evolves through time.
