Ding’s Coffee

Zheng He's seven voyages brought the Chinese custom of drinking tea to the shores of the Red Sea, catalysed the secularization of Arab coffee, and made coffee a popular drink beyond the walls of religion and medicine. This is the historical intersection of tea and coffee, and also a witness to the blending of Eastern and Western cultures. In terms of font design, we will rotate and arrange the Chinese and English at a 90 degree angle to present the packaging box in two reading directions, reflecting the integration and mutual learning of Eastern and Western cultures. In terms of graphic design, we deconstruct and reorganize Chinese calligraphy elements to meet different perspectives of viewing and understanding, reflecting the diversity and inclusiveness of Chinese culture. The calligraphy strokes on the inner packaging bag form a painting of Zheng He's fleet sailing far away, telling the story of China's encounter with coffee hundreds of years ago.
