Culture Echoes
非遗回响We were honored to curate the exhibition Echoes of Intangible Cultural Heritage at Guangdong’s iconic landmark—the Canton Tower. Echoes is an experimental exploration of ICH’s contemporary relevance. Challenging the stereotype that 'tradition must be preserved behind glass,' we recontextualized Lingnan’s cultural heritage within this architectural marvel—where cloisonné dialogues with steel frameworks, and hand-dyed fabrics interact with LED lightscapes. This was not a conventional display, but a deliberate cultural collision, transforming intangible heritage from distant relics into tangible contemporary aesthetics.


To achieve this vision, we invited globally renowned designers and artists whose works actively engage with traditional craftsmanship. Their innovative interpretations—ranging from wearable art infused with Cantonese embroidery motifs to digital installations reimagining Lingnan folklore—demonstrate how heritage can thrive through cross-disciplinary creativity.
